Fireweed AI has been named one of Canada's Top Moonshot Ventures at NACO Summit 2026.

Each year, the National Angel Capital Organization (NACO) works with Canada's leading angel groups, accelerators, and early-stage venture funds to nominate high-potential ventures for the exclusive Moonshots Stage, a curated showcase of founders building transformative solutions across AI, Fintech, Defence & Dual Use, Quantum Computing, Cleantech, and more.

This marks the first time a Yukon company has ever taken the Moonshots Stage.

Fireweed AI is building sovereign AI infrastructure designed to keep data on the land and authority in the hands of the communities, organizations, and governments we serve, reducing weeks of policy and regulatory work to hours in a secure, sovereign environment. Our platform is built for the over 600 First Nations governments in Canada, as well as the thousands of municipal, provincial, territorial, and federal governments and agencies across Canada, the USA, and around the world.

Founded in Whitehorse on the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and the Ta'an Kwäch'än Council, this recognition reflects both the urgency of the problem we're working to solve and the growth of Canada's northern innovation ecosystem.
